Daylight Saving Time Explained
Understand daylight saving time, clock changes, and why time differences can shift during the year.
Daylight saving time is a seasonal clock change used in some regions to shift daylight later into the evening. It is not used everywhere, and the start and end dates differ by country.
This is why a time zone converter should use the actual date of the event. A simple UTC offset can be misleading when a region is close to a daylight saving transition.
For travel, remote work, webinars, and launches, check the local time again close to the event date. Governments occasionally change time rules, and software updates may be required to reflect them.
